Katy & Rach

The Show

As actresses and improvisers Rachel Blackman and Katy Schutte have long been frustrated that the worlds of improvised comedy and theatre are perceived as being poles apart. So they got together with director Alexis Gallagher to develop a show that combines the humour and spontaneity of improvised comedy with the character driven richness and emotional complexity of modern theatre. Add to this a filmic naturalism and the feeling that you’re meeting characters you’ve known your whole life and you’ll come close to describing the experience of watching Katy and Rach.

Katy and Rach are in talks for a Web Sitcom entitled Katy and Rach go Transdimensional.  Says director/writer/producer Steve Saul:

"After just one performance of Katy and Rach, I knew I'd found my stars. Natural chemistry, effortless charisma and an amazing ability to generate inspired material put them at the tippermost top of my 'must approach' list... and I got very, very lucky when they agreed to join the project."
